Media Work Space in Holman Library

HL112: Media Group Work Room

Students may sign up (at the checkout desk) to use HL112 for media collaborations.

HL112 is equipped with the following:
  • PC & iMac installed with various audio and visual creation and editing software
  • Large display screen
  • Headphones
  • Sound mixer
  • Microphones
  • Conference table/whiteboard

Group Study Rooms

There are three group study/ collaboration rooms available on a first-come, first-served basis to small groups of students. Located on the second floor.

Using LinkedIn Learning

LinkedIn Learning provides access to thousands of streaming video tutorials taught by experts covering I.T., business, and creative topics.

Covid19 Update

During the current stay-at-home order and movement of classes online, the library does have a supply of laptops, webcams, and hot spots available for checkout. To request these items, please email Student Success ( ssuccess@greenriver.edu ). Student Success will then direct your request to the library to arrange pickup

Technology in Holman Library

Information Commons Open Computer Lab

The Information Commons is an open computer lab located on the second floor of the Holman Library Building.

During open hours the Information Commons Reference Desk is staffed by Faculty Librarians who are available to help with information and research. Student-workers provide additional technology and computing assistance.

 

Computers

More than 150 computers are available for use by currently registered students in the library Information Commons. The computers are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and provide access to various online research databases, course-related specialized software, Microsoft Office and full Internet access.

 

Laptops

Holman Library has a limited number of laptops for student use. Laptops may be checked out at the Circulation Desk and are available for four hours of in-library use. They may not be renewed. Library laptops have Internet access and Microsoft Office. Students cannot access the Student Network from laptops.Limited printing is available through the library's "Wireless Printing" options - see the "Printing" tab for more details. Students are responsible for laptops checked out to them. Audio

The library has headsets with microphones available for checkout. 

 
Webcams and Hot Spots

The library holds webcams and hot spots available for checkout. To request these items, please email Student Success (ssuccess@greenriver.edu) first, and the request will be directed to the library.
