Download eBooks from EBSCO

eBooks and eBook chapters can be read online or downloaded to a computer or mobile device.

Some eBooks will have Digital Rights Management (DRM) restrictions that require additional steps to download and read offline. The resources below can help with the required steps for downloading eBooks with DRM restrictions:

Many eBooks with DRM restrictions will require users to install Adobe Digital Editions on their computer or mobile device in order to access these eBooks offline. Adobe Digital Editions is also required to transfer these eBooks to supported E-Readers.

The first time you open an eBook with DRM restrictions, Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) will ask you to authorize your computer. The best way to do this is to supply an Adobe ID. If you don’t have an Adobe ID, click the Create an Adobe ID link. After creating the ID on the Adobe website, you can close that browser window, return to ADE, and enter the newly-created Adobe ID.

  1. Install Adobe Digital Editions (ADE)
To download certain EBSCO eBooks or transfer them to a portable device, install Adobe Digital Editions. It’s a free download available through Adobe’s website.
  2. Create a personal EBSCO account
This may be required to download some eBooks to your device.
  3. Click “Sign In” on the EBSCO website
