How do I use this video camera?

How do I transfer files from the video camera to a PC?

Follow these steps:

1. Plug USB drive into computer and camcorder
2. Push the play button on the video camera [►]
3. When AutoPlay dialog box opens on the computer select "Import pictures and videos"

4. On the resulting box select "Import settings"

5. On the resulting box select "browse" next to "Import videos to:" and browse to the folder you would like to save the files to.

Special Note:
Files saved to the desktop of school computers will be deleted when that computer is restarted. All computer restart overnight. Be sure to save the files to a USB drive, external hard drive. the cloud, or in another manner.

Room Use

Green River Media Services operates a video recording lab in Holman Library (HL 124).

• Students may use HL 124 for video recording short films for school projects. Use is dependent on availability. 
• The video lab can be equipped with a tripod, camera, microphones, backgrounds, a green screen, and lighting. There are no computers in HL 124, but students may use computers and software in the Digital Media Lab in HL 112 to edit video. All equipment must remain in HL 124.  
• With a minimum of 48 hours of notice, Media Services can put up whatever background is needed.  
• While HL 124 is not soundproof, it is among the quieter rooms on campus and is well suited to recording video.  
• Media Services can provide some support to students using the room, provided they have the time to do so.
