STEP 1: SEARCH WORDS
DATABASES: If desired, you can copy and paste the search strings (in bold below) into one of the library database tools:
- Option #1
- anthropol* AND (study OR article OR research OR researcher OR “recent findings”)
- Option #2
- [specific anthropology topic] AND anthropol* (study OR article OR research OR researcher OR “recent findings”)
- example: hunter gatherers AND anthropol* (study OR article OR research OR researcher OR “recent findings”)
WEBSITES: you can try the search strings below, but they may not work depending on the search capabilities of the website. You may have to try search words like: anthropology, anthropologist, anthropology culture, archaeology...etc.
STEP 2: LIMITERS
Your search tool may have different options for limiting results.
- In databases, usually look on the left-hand side for limiters such as:
- full text
- source type = newspaper
- date range = last three years
STEP 3: PERSISTENT URL
- WEBSITES: copy the URL (web address) in the browser bar
- DATABASES: DO NOT copy the URL (web address) in the browser bar. Instead, look at the options to find a persistent URL link (often referred to as a "Permalink")
