A note on Asian American, Native Hawai'ian, and Pacific Islander Studies

Asian American and Pacific Islander Studies encompasses a diverse group of communities with significant differences of history, culture, language, religion, national origin, immigration, and experience in the US or as US colonies.

Asian American Studies generally includes people from South Asia, Southeast Asia, and East Asia, including Japan, China, Korea, India, Afghanistan, Vietnam, Indonesia, , the Philippines, Malaysia, Micronesia, Polynesia, and other communities.
