First Floor Study Spaces
  • Silent study room with carrels and tables (no computers but there are outlets to plug in your own laptops)
  • Informal study under the staircase
     
First Floor Group Media Room (HL 112)
  • The student media lab (HL 112) on the first floor of the library is available for student multimedia production use -- including recording or editing audio and video, or practicing presentations that use media aids.
  • Reservations for HL 112 can be made by currently enrolled students -- call or visit the library Circulation Desk or the Reference Desk. You will need your student ID number to reserve.

How Can I Use a Group Study Room in the Library?

2nd Floor Small Group Study Rooms (HL 210, 211, 212)
  • The small group study rooms in the library are first-come, first serve and the library does not have a reservation system for these rooms. Student groups have priority, and if you are a student group you can stop by the library reference desk and ask a librarian to assist you in determining if any of the rooms are available.
2nd Floor Student Media Lab (HL 112)
  • The student media lab (HL 112) on the first floor of the library is available for student multimedia production use -- including recording or editing audio and video, or practicing presentations that use media aids. Named after the language of the Muckleshoot tribe, the Whulshootseed Lounge is a safe and welcoming environment for all of our students to build community and solidarity. It's a space that honors, respects and recognizes the First Peoples of this land. Located on the second floor of the Mel Lindbloom Student Union office 240, our lounge is a space for students to study, attend study tables with peer navigators, use computers, network with student leaders, build community, and host group meetings. The lounge gives students access to a screen, speaker, and whiteboard.
