Enter your city into the Advanced Search screen.

• If you change your city to Subject, you will find articles in which your city is the focus.
• If you leave your city as Keyword, you will get more articles in which your city is mentioned as part of a larger discussion.

Either can be useful.

Find the Basics on your City

Academic Encyclopedias, also called Reference, are a good place to go for broad, introductory background information on a subject.

Holman Library reference sources include subject encyclopedias with brief articles on cities and countries around the world, as well as broader articles on issues impacting communities around the world. 

You may use a reference article to help you get started with your research. In your annotated bibliography it would count as a wildcard source.
