Welcome to your ANTH&205 primate studies class guide!

Your course is about:

Evolution theories- evolution by natural selection and other means
Human evolution through the fossil record
Human and non-human primate behavior and morphology
Modern human variations and human adaptation

Primates studied in this course: gorilla, lemur, orangutan, colobus monkey, tamarin monkey, loris, and siamang.

Anthropology students have great resources in the Holman Library and on the Internet for research involving evolution in humans and these primates. This guide can help you to locate information about taxonomy, characteristics, habitat and behavior. Use the tabs above to access these tools.

Good luck in your primate studies, and remember to visit the primates behind the Holman Library reference desk for helpful advice!
