Librarians ARE also available virtually to assist you by email, phone, chat, and video appointment.  See options below:

In-Person

By Appointment

Online Appointments:

Meet with a GRC librarian online for 25 or 50 minutes. Schedule an appointment 24 hours in advance.

In-Person Appointments:

Meet with a GRC librarian in-person, at Holman Library, for 25 or 50 minutes. Schedule an appointment 36 hours in advance.

Submit a Question - Chat librarians are offline, but you can send us your question and we will reply within one business day.

 

By Email

Email a librarian with a reference question at librarian@greenriver.edu. This is an alternative to chat/IM if you want help specifically from a Green River College librarian. This is not an immediate option as emails will be only answered during normal business hours.

Get Help from Tutors

You can work with a tutor (a teacher who helps one student at a time) to practice your writing, reading, listening and speaking.  Click the link to find out times when tutors are available:

Borrowing from the Library

Borrow Books and Videosphoto of the desk downstairs in the library where books are checked out.

The library has separate "Basic Skills" shelves of books/videos for ELL students (see map below)
 

 

 

 

Find books/videos about the following

You can borrow books for 21 days and most videos for 7 days

Take books/videos to the Circulation Desk and show your Green River Student ID

USE COMPUTERS

Computers are free - you can use them anytime
 

Students can use the internet, email, print, and write papers


Student can borrow laptops, webcams, and hot spots (internet through your cell phone)
