Introduction to Law

Get the facts you need with this legal research guide from the Holman Library

___________________________

Legislative bodies craft laws in the United States, often referred to as statutes.

Federal and state statutes are arranged by subject, and published in print and electronically.  The United States Code contains current federal public laws.

Degree students at GRCC need to do a significant amount of legal research for case presentations. Fortunately, many resources are available to help understand aspects of this broad area of knowledge.

Collected here are useful resources in print, on-line, and video to support legal research.

Remember, librarians are waiting to assist you. Come to the Information Center Reference Desk on the second floor of the Holman Library, or call during business hours: 253-833-9111 extension 2091.

Working late?  You can get help from a librarian anytime through our 24/7 chat help service.

Good luck and best wishes from the Holman Library as you pursue your career.
